Jun 19, 2010, Crete For Life: Working Together to Give Disadvantaged Children a Break

We support Crete For Life and share with you a recent letter...

Dear Friends,

This year, for the first time, we are joining forces with the international charity SOS Children's Villages offering a break by the sea to a group of twenty children from SOS Village in Vari, Athens. We are delighted to cooperate with SOS Children Villages, as it is one of the oldest, largest and most reputable international organisation committed to promoting children's rights and their well being.

On Crete, the SOS children, will enjoy a summer break from their difficult lives, a chance to experience a happy, carefree way of life, make new friends, try new things and hopefully take with them some wonderful memories of their time on the island.

We will host them by the Cretan sea side where they will enjoy a program of fun activities and entertainment in a safe, homely and friendly environment. Moreover, they will experience Crete's renowned hospitality and its famously healthy and delicious cuisine.

As you know, over the years we have been hosting a number of Belorussian children from areas affected by the Chernobyl Catastrophe, for therapeutic breaks and workshops by the sea. Their time on Crete has been most beneficial and if you'd like to see the wonderful moments of the children enjoying the delights of Crete, please see our video below:

Crete For Life "The First Time I Saw the Sea"

We are planning on continuing to expand our hospitality to include more and more disadvantaged children from different parts of the world, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your continuing support, especially through these uncertain times. Thank You!

Jun 15, 2010, A new project for Milia Mountain Retreat

To our friends who have enjoyed their stay at Milia Mountain Retreat, please see the recent news from Tassos below:

To Spiti, accommodation in old town Chania

Dear Guest,

We would like to introduce our new effort to the accommodation field , this time in a Venetian house in to the heart of Chania's old town.

To Spiti, accommodation in old town Chania

The location is excellent due to it is very quiet day & night and it is not crowded by mass tourism. If you like to spend some or more days in Chania you will enjoy very much the character of this "personal touch" house.

See it in www.to-spiti.gr and send us your opinion if you can in email.

Thank you for your attention and hope you will like it.

Kindest regards
Tassos Gourgouras
