Celebratory Trip to Crete

My husband and I plan to revisit Crete after 27 years to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and a significant birthday that I shall be reaching...and it's not a 21st birthday! Have narrowed choice of accommodation down to either Elounda Village resort or The Island Hotel, Gouves. Did visit beautiful Elounda all those years ago but can't remember if we were in Gouves. On your advice which would be the better choice.Many thanks,Paula.

Elounda has Magic Scenery

Elounda has many blue flag beaches and coves, and the islands of Spinalonga and Kolokitha protect the bay, making it ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

In addition, Elounda has changed tastefully over the years as many luxury resorts have congregated in this area, and the quality of restaurants, tavernas and cafes, as well as boutiques and jewellery stores, is very high.
