Kalimera! My name is Dalius Regelskis and I’m an architect, artist and lecturer of Vilnius Academy of Arts in Lithuania.

I just thought, it would be a good idea to share with you my artwork of Cretan doors, inspired by the amazing beauty of the old towns and villages of Chania and Rethymnon regions:

10 years ago my wife and I visited Crete for the first time and we both fell in love with this wonderful Greek island. Each year we used to visit different places of Crete, while we found Rethymno and realised that this town is definitely our favorite one!

"Rethemniotika Nea", Greek–language daily newspaper of Rethymno, wrote an article last month called "Doors of Crete" about me and my drawings. You can find it here:

The mantinades Cretan poetry used in my drawings are written by our friend Manolis Maragoudakis (age 65) from Vederi village, Rethymno, exclusively for these works.
