Taverna near Chania Airport

We are visiting Crete in early May 2012. Our flight arrives in the evening at Chania airport.

We have to clear the airport and pick up a rental car for our journey to Kalami where we are staying. I am sure that we will want a decent meal by the time that we get to Kalami.

Is there a good taverna where we can call once we reach Kalami? Hopefully easy to find. We can then progress to our villa.

Tavernas near Kalyves

Yiasas,

Yes, if you do not want to go all the way into Chania town, you will find a good meal at Don Rosario taverna, just past Souda and before Kalami.

Or if that doesn't suit, you will find a range of tavernas in Kalyves, just a bit further down the road, try Gyalos taverna by the sea. Most will be open till late in the evening.

I am sure other visitors to this page will have other suggestions for you, too.
