Getting to Spinalonga by Bus

I will be in Agios Nikolaos on 20 Oct 2012 from 8am until 6pm. I would like to travel to Spinalonga.

From what I am reading, the bus to Plaka appears to only be available Wednesday. Is this true?

How long does it take by ferry to get from Agios Nikolaos to Spinalonga?

Bus or Boat to Spinalonga

Yes you can get to Spinalonga by bus on that date. The local buses run until the end of October.

Did you also know that you can take a boat tour from Agios Nikolaos to Spinalonga and return, all on one day? These boat tours also run until the end of October.

Talk to Zoe and Panos at Zet Travel in Agios Nikolaos who have a daily boat trip: zet-travel.com

Of course you can still travel by local bus to Plaka, it is only 15 kms and takes at the most half an hour. There are plenty of boats from Plaka who can take you out on that date.
