Crete Travel...here are some more tips and stories about Crete and some of the extraordinary people living and travelling here...

Completely Crete ...Alison and Graham moved to Crete from the UK five years ago and say "Our experiences, our insider knowledge, our Cretan friends and our contacts, make us ideally placed to offer a unique website all about Crete".

Dittany of Crete ...Alison and Graham moved to Crete from the UK five years ago and say "after living in Crete, we were happy to come across the endemic Dittany of Crete Origanum dictamnus right on our doorstep and wanted to learn more and more about this magical plant. Well, after a massive amount of research we've found out lots of interesting and fascinating information about this little pink coloured wild plant".

Wild Herbs of Crete ...Babis and Janina have been collecting and distilling herbs exclusively from wild populations in Crete since 1994, and produce essential oils, share their vast knowledge of "wildcrafting", they say "We chose to collect and distill exclusively aromatic plants which are wild growing". Find out why on their beautiful site.

Greek Mountain Flora ...with a special section on the flora of Crete, written by amateur botanists Klaas Kamstra and José van Son. In the summer of 2002 they decided to live another life, so they sold their home and quit their jobs to go and travel. After extensive trips in Europe and further away, they share their knowledge of mountain plants here.
